Kanjivaram
Silk
Tamil NaduPure mulberry silk, gold zari weft. The definitive temple weave — heavyweight, lustrous, built to be passed down.
KR Circle's finest silk house since 1965. Wedding sarees for the Mysore royal family — and every family that deserves the same devotion to craft.
From the floor · Badsha Stores, KR Circle
Badsha Stores opened its doors on KR Circle in 1965 with one conviction — that a bride's silk saree is not a purchase, it is a memory made in thread and zari. Six decades later, that conviction has not moved an inch. The looms have multiplied. The conviction has not.
We carry Kanjivaram, Mysore Silk, Patola, Banarasi, Tissue Silk, Tussar, and Chanderi — each sourced from the weaving clusters that invented them. Nothing blended. Nothing misrepresented. Every silk we carry can be traced to its loom.
Our relationship with the Mysore royal family spans generations. The same standards they demanded in 1965 are the standards we hold today — for every bride who walks through our door.
We stock only what we can vouch for — sourced from the weaving clusters that invented each tradition.
Pure mulberry silk, gold zari weft. The definitive temple weave — heavyweight, lustrous, built to be passed down.
Our home weave. Pure two-ply silk, woven on Mysuru's own looms. Lighter than Kanjivaram, no less royal.
Double-ikat from Patan. A collector's weave — months of resist-dyeing before a single thread is set on the loom.
Brocade zari woven into silk or georgette. The most requested bridal silk — rich, formal, unmistakably Indian.
Zari woven into the base itself — the fabric glows from within. The bride's choice for evening ceremonies.
Wild silk with an earthy, matte drape. For the bride who wants silk without the sheen — understated luxury.
Kanjivaram, Mysore Silk, and Banarasi in the richest zari work. The bridal saree that will outlast the photographs.
Matching silk sets for mothers, sisters, and family — coordinated in palette but distinct in weave.
Pure silk half-sarees and pavadai sets for young girls at weddings, naming ceremonies, and festivals.
Tissue silk sarees with gold or silver zari woven into the base. Catches every light. Built for the evening mandap.
Patola, Paithani, Pochampally — rare weaves that appreciate with age. Purchased once. Worn for generations.
Silk blouse fabric, zardosi and hand-embroidered options. In-house stitching with a 7-day turnaround.
Chanderi, Tussar, and soft Mysore silk for Dasara, Ugadi, and everyday festive occasions.
Pre-packed saree gift sets and fabric lengths. The wedding gift that will never be returned.
No appointment necessary. Our silk masters will drape each weave across your hands so you can feel the difference — because the difference is in the weight, the hand, and the way the zari catches light.
